Kia Sportage in Ashington Northumberland
The Sportage is a serial box ticker. Not only is it offered with hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and mild hybrid powertrains, but it’s also offered with two or all-wheel drive and in five impressive trim grades. Mild hybrids have 48v technology, with 1.6 T-GDI 148bhp and 1.6 CRDi 134bhp engines available. The self-charging hybrid (HEV) kicks out 226bhp, while the plug-in hybrid has 261bhp and a 43-mile electric range. With so many options, there really is a Kia Sportage for everyone. Trims include ‘2’, ‘3’, ‘4’, and sporty GT-Line and GT-Line S grades. ‘3’, ‘4’ and GT-Line S grades have a 12.3" digital driver’s display, with a 12.3" touchscreen with navigation standard in all grades after ‘2’. ‘4’ and GT-Line S models have a panoramic roof, dual LED adaptive headlamps, Blind-spot View Monitor, and wireless phone charging. GT-Line S also gets a smart power tailgate and electric front seats. All versions from ‘3’ have heated front and rear outer seats and a heated steering wheel.
Design
A razor sharp body, sleek profile and big alloys (up to 19”) give the Sportage seriously impressive road presence. GT-Line versions have sportier styling with a gloss black roof, a gloss black front radiator grille and suede upholstery.
Drive
The Sportage is a dream to drive with its slick 7 speed auto dual-clutch transmission and electrified powertrains. Drive Mode Select lets you choose from Comfort, Eco or Sport Mode and you can get your Sportage with all-wheel drive.
Practicality
Built for family life, the Sportage has 540-587-litres of boot space depending on the powertrain and comes with keyless entry in all versions from ‘2’. GT-Line S models have a smart power tailgate and ventilated front seats.
Living with it
All versions are cheap to run thanks to electrification, and there are over 15 standard driving aids including Lane Following Assist and Lane Keep Assist. All automatic versions have Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go for easy cruising.
